EPIC is a collaborative effort. You can help make Lagos a place where children and adults with disabilities are seen, supported and included.

For Families & Community Members

You can:

  • Share EPIC information with friends, neighbours and faith communities.
  • Encourage parents to use the Care Finder tool and seek assessment early.
  • Support caregivers in your community with empathy and practical help.
  • Volunteer at PlayFair or community outreach events where appropriate.

Small actions can change a child’s story.

For NGOs & Community-Based Organisations

EPIC welcomes collaboration with:

  • Disability-focused organisations
  • Child protection and welfare groups
  • Women’s groups and youth networks
  • Faith-based and community-based organisations

Possible areas of partnership:

  • Joint community outreach and screening
  • Referral linkages and service mapping
  • Co-delivery of caregiver support groups
  • Advocacy for inclusive policies and budgets

For Health & Education Providers

  • Doctor, nurse, community health worker or therapist

You can:

  • Integrate EPIC screening tools into your routine work.
  • Refer children along the EPIC pathway using agreed protocols.
  • Participate in EPIC trainings and communities of practice.
  • Share feedback to improve tools and processes.

For Donors, Funders & the Private Sector

EPIC offers opportunities to:

  • Expand early screening and referral services across Lagos.
  • Equip playsites and clinics with assistive devices and tools.
  • Support innovation in digital data systems and accessible technologies.
  • Strengthen workforce training and supervision.
  • Sponsor inclusive events such as PlayFair.
